How do I switch to a different subscription plan?

Change the plan of an App Store subscription in your Apple Account settings. On Google Play, plan changes are made in the app when the developer allows it.

Updated · iOS and Android

Where you switch depends on where you subscribed: in your Apple Account settings for an App Store subscription, or in the exam app itself for a Google Play subscription, if the app offers other plans. You can switch only between the plans offered for your current subscription.

  1. Open Settings and tap your name.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Tap your exam app's subscription (it carries the app's name; for the NCLEX app, the name starts with NCLEX).
  4. Choose a different option. If you see See All Plans, tap it first to list every plan. Then follow the onscreen instructions.

You can also do this on the web: sign in to your Apple Account at account.apple.com, select the subscription, then select See All Plans. If the option to manage the subscription on the web isn't available, select Continue on Device.

When the new plan starts

Apple's rules depend on whether the new plan is a higher, lower or equivalent level of service than your current one:

  • Upgrade (higher level): you are upgraded immediately and receive a refund of the prorated amount of your original subscription. The day you upgrade becomes your new renewal date.
  • Downgrade (lower level): your current subscription continues until the next renewal date, then renews at the lower level and price.
  • Crossgrade (equivalent level): if both plans are paid up front and have the same duration, the new plan begins immediately. If the durations are different, for example monthly and yearly, the new plan starts at the next renewal date. Plans with a 12-month commitment follow additional rules.

After you switch, check your subscriptions (on iPhone or iPad, Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android, subscriptions in Google Play). If your exam app now shows two active subscriptions, cancel the one you no longer want: see how to cancel your subscription.

If you paid on the ExamReady website, email support@examready.pro to ask about changing your plan.

To find out when your current plan renews, see how to check your next billing date.
