I don't recognize a charge

Find out what an App Store or Google Play charge was for in your purchase history, then cancel, request a refund or report an unauthorized charge.

Updated · iOS and Android

Start by finding the purchase in your store account: it shows what was bought and with which account. An unfamiliar charge can be several purchases grouped into one bill or a purchase made by a family member.

A charge from apple.com/bill on your bank statement can be for apps, subscriptions or other purchases from Apple.

Find the purchase

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in to your Apple Account. If you know the amount but not what it was for, search for the amount.
  2. Or, on your iPhone: in the App Store, tap your photo or initials, tap Apps & Purchase History, then tap Purchase History.

If you can't find the item, you may have used a different Apple Account: sign in to the other account and check its purchase history.

If the charge is unfamiliar

  • Apple may group several purchases and subscriptions into one bill.
  • Ask your family members if they bought the item.
  • If someone else is using your Apple Account and password, change your Apple Account password.

If the charge is for a subscription you no longer want, cancel the subscription. If the purchase is eligible, you can request a refund.
